Corrections Policy

Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or nonmaterial clarity changes can be fixed without a formal correction note. A material factual error that changes the meaning or reliability of a story should receive a visible correction or editor's note appropriate to the issue. A story can be retracted or unpublished when correction would not adequately address the problem.

Send the article URL, the specific statement you believe is wrong, and any supporting source material to press@thetalklounge.com. Reports are prioritized by seriousness, potential harm, freshness, and the evidence available rather than by a guaranteed response time.

Editorial staff compare the report with the article's sources and any new reliable evidence. If a material correction is warranted, the story is updated through the governed editorial workflow. Automated ingestion cannot silently rewrite a published story; proposed automated updates enter an editor review queue.

A developing story can receive new confirmed information without the earlier version having been wrong. TTL distinguishes ordinary story updates from corrections when the distinction matters to readers.

TTL aims to make material corrections understandable to readers and to preserve internal article version and audit history used by authorized editorial staff. The exact form of a public note depends on the nature of the correction.
